
Flutist Teresa Díaz de Cossio Sánchez is a recent 2018 M.M. graduate from the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music. Her former teachers include Pamela V. Martchev, Catherine Ransom and Leopoldo González. She has worked as flute teacher at Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego and Universidad Autónoma de Baja California.
Teresa is a founding member of Música para la Paz a non-profit organization in Ensenada, Mexico. She has participated in numerous master classes with Jean Ferrandis, Martin Michael Köfler and Jim Walker, and studied at the Banff Centre with Lorna McGuee, Leslie Newman, Pattrick Gallois, and Ransom Wilsom.
Teresa has performed with world class musicians such as Plácido Domingo and Ana Maria Martínez; and recently recorded an album accompanying the Mariachi Vargas de Tecatitlán. In her free time she enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, running on the beach, spending time with her dear ones.
Next Fall Teresa will be pursuing a DMA at the University of California - San Diego in Contemporary Performance on a full teaching fellowship.
